We planned, booked and experienced the most beautiful and perfect wedding we could imagine. I’m so happy to have married this beautiful and infinitely thoughtful woman. Here’s a look at our life-changing day as captured by the incredibly talented Conner Allen.
Our wedding was unique in many ways, but one of my favorite memories is how Emily designed her own dress. What started as a sketch was turned into a reality. This was also the process I went through to create Emily’s wedding ring. We each wanted to create something one of a kind for our special day.
We had the ceremony at the beautiful Camp Four Echoes on Lake Coeur d’Alene. It had rained the morning before, but as the day went on, the clouds cleared and the sun shone beautifully over our small bay. water droplets lingered on all the greenery, making for a whimsical scene.
Emily and her mother chose all the flowers for the tables and bouquet, and Emily’s friends made the cake and all the decorations. We were blessed with talented friends and family to help make this day a memorable one.
We each prepared and read our own personal vows to each other. Todd Hornby was an amazing officiant and made us feel comfortable speaking in front of everyone. Actually, I told Emily that, despite my mild stage-fright, I felt perfectly comfortable professing my love to her in front of all our friends and family.
After eating (and having a few drinks) we climbed into this canoe for some photos. These are some of my favorites of the day despite almost getting wet. We walked back up the reception area and danced through the sunset.
After the reception and some questionable dancing, Emily and I convinced everyone to jump into the lake. I honestly couldn’t believe how many of our friends followed us in, and we all swam out to a water trampoline where we jumped around until it was too dark to see. I couldn’t imagine a better way to end such a picturesque day.
A big thank you to everyone who came out and made this day one that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
As always, thanks for reading, and look forward to the honeymoon blogs coming NEXT WEEK! I’ve been putting many hours into editing, arranging and writing them, can’t wait to share our adventure with you!
